Is dieting unhealthy?
Losing weight
⚠️No! If you have an exit
strategy then in my professional opinion no dieting for weight loss isn’t
unhealthy
Example:
If you are going to compete, don’t go head in. PLAN 16 weeks out “this had to
be drilled into me because I enjoyed aggressive preps which fucked me over in
the end.”
So
diet down, if your caloric intake per day is 5000kcal comfortably then start
with 5000kcal and remove 500g every 2nd day or every week so when stage day
comes you should not be starving (be honestly you are cause your body is not
used to 1000kcal).
Then
lots of athletes has after “stage blues” where they go into depression because
they’ve spent all these weeks losing weight for a few minutes on stage and that
is that….
My
advise have a post competition day or post weight loss goal, if you’re competing
then reverse diet is your goal post comp; so you dieted down from 5000kcal to
1000kcal, so now you diet up from 1000kcal back up to 5000kcal with the same
space gap you used to diet down, you you removed 500g per week then add back
500g per week.
Once
you are back up to 5000kcal per day now you add in 1 cheat meal per week when you’ve mastered
this for a month or 2 and your body is only looking better then choose have a
cheat day or 1 cheat meal per day….
If
your body doesnt agree with your 1 cheat meal after the month continue with the
one day until your body submits to you because remember YOU ARE STILL
TRAINING.
Now if
you do not have the strength or discipline to reverse diet then go all in 😄 that brings us to the next part of this
conversation….
Gaining weight
⚠️No! If you have an exit
strategy then in my professional opinion no dieting for weight gain isn’t
unhealthy
To
gain weight can be as hard as it is to lose weight and not everyone likes to
hear this; But lemme tell you, there are people in this world with super fast
metabolisms and that makes it difficult for them to pick up weight cause they
feel like they have a bottomless pit in their stomachs but your face hurts of
eating all the damn time and the toilet schedule 💩🚽…..
So go
all in. Eat until you are comfortably full then listen to your body’s hunger
queues.
Now
the concern most have with this is the fear of obesity, imma let you in on a
little secrete…. Use the 80-20 rule;
80%
eating healthy wholesome meals this will include:
Maintance
Protein potion, healthy fats portion and complex carbs portion.
20%
curbing your cravings; yeah have a damn cheat meal !
It’s
called balance baby! So enjoy it because remember at the end of the day you are
still training but you are keeping up with your stomach and metabolism, NEVER
STARVE YOURSELF FOR FUNZEES help is everywhere.
